HET GEMAAL / THE PUMPINGSTATION

You can go up to the roof of the building. Standing between the discs you can look to the four directions. Inside the artwork is a 50 cubic metre working pumpstation. It’s function is to pump back the rising ground water to the river in case of high waterlevels.

Concrete, steel, 7 x 7 x 7 metres.
