KWANOKKELS at Kunstnacht Nijmegen
At the Kunstnacht Nijmegen (Artnight Nijmegen) seven Kwanokkels were presented on seven concrete pedestals. People could choose which Kwanokkel they wanted to wear. And I made a photo of them on a separate pedestal where studio lights were installed.
If you were there? Scrol to find your photo! There are almost 200 photo’s.

KWANOKKELS
In all cultures, in all times and everywhere on the planet, there is a tradition of making masks, as wearable symbols of invisible processes of a community.
With this in mind, artist Rob Sweere created a series of masks: the Kwanokkels.
What Rob Sweere noticed: today identity plays a major role in many population groups. Black Lives Matter, LGBT+, millennials, conspiracy theorists… We live in an increasingly polarized social and political field. What is going on? He investigates this with his Kwanokkels.
